Two Soldiers Arrested After Alleged Assault on Woman and Vigilantes in Jos South
At about 4 p.m. on May 28, troops of Operation Enduring Peace detained two soldiers in Bukuru, Jos South, after a confrontation left a woman and three vigilante members injured. The dispute reportedly began over the confiscation of a motorcycle and the presence of suspected armed men. Sector 6 Operation Safe Haven officers responded to a distress call and found the victims, including Mrs. Kaneng Nyang Bot, wounded at the scene. The arrested personnel are Pte. Adam Saheed of 123 Special Forces Battalion, on pass, and Gnr. Mohammed Shuaibu of 351 Artillery Regiment, whose pass had expired. They remain in custody as security authorities continue their investigation.
