Chukwueze Set for Extended Layoff, Doubtful for Super Eagles’ Tanzania Qualifiers
Samuel Chukwueze is expected to spend at least two months out after sustaining a left hip injury following AC Milan’s Serie A win over Atalanta. The winger has reportedly begun specialist treatment and will be assessed again within 10 to 15 days. He is not expected to return before the end of the year. The setback leaves AC Milan short of options on the right flank and could rule Chukwueze out of Nigeria’s AFCON 2027 qualifying matches against Tanzania in November. The Super Eagles are due to play in Uyo on 13 November before the return leg four days later.
