Dickson Accuses Diri of Handing Bayelsa to APC, Vows 2027 Political Fight
Former Bayelsa State governor Seriake Dickson has accused Governor Douye Diri of working to hand the state’s political structure to the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 elections. Speaking during a visit to Toru-Orua with NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi and other party leaders, Dickson alleged that Diri had abandoned the Peoples Democratic Party for personal political interests. Dickson said he would work with PDP founding members and loyalists of former President Goodluck Jonathan to challenge Diri’s camp in 2027. The dispute highlights growing divisions among political leaders in Bayelsa.
