KC Luxury Seeks Judge’s Recusal Over Court Record Concerns and Health Claims

Social media influencer Afolabi Michael Kazeem, known as KC Luxury, has asked Justice Musa Kakaki of the Federal High Court in Lagos to withdraw from his alleged drug-trafficking and money-laundering trial. His lawyer said the court record allegedly does not reflect the ruling that denied Kazeem medical bail on October 28, 2026. The defence also raised concerns about obtaining a copy of the ruling in time to appeal and cited Kazeem’s deteriorating health. The prosecution opposed an immediate hearing of the application, saying it was served during a court break and that six witnesses were ready for trial. The court adjourned the matter until November 25, 2026, to hear the recusal application.
