Edo Queens Beat ASEC Mimosas 3-1 to Reach WAFU B Champions League Semi-Finals

Edo Queens have secured a place in the semi-finals of the WAFU B Women’s Champions League after a 3-1 win over ASEC Mimosas. Oluwakemi Adegbuyi opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, before Doosuur Atume doubled the Nigerian champions’ lead shortly before half-time. ASEC Mimosas pulled a goal back after the break, but Edo Queens remained in control. Oluebube Umajiaku sealed the win with an 89th-minute goal. The Benin City side now have six points from two matches, having also defeated AS Garde Nationale 7-0 in their opening Group B fixture. Edo Queens will face Ampem Darkoa Ladies of Ghana in their final group match on Sunday.
