Carly Simon Biography: Career, Hit Songs, Personal Life and Net Worth

Carly Simon is an American singer-songwriter and author best known for 1970s hits such as “You’re So Vain,” “Anticipation,” “Nobody Does It Better” and “Coming Around Again.” Her career has produced multiple Top 40 singles, Gold-certified releases and a Grammy Award for Best New Artist. She began performing in 1963 with her sister Lucy as the Simon Sisters before launching her solo career in 1971. Her early albums, including Carly Simon, Anticipation and No Secrets, established her as a major voice in soft rock, pop and folk music. Born in New York City on June 25, 1943, Simon has also written memoirs and children’s books. She was married to singer-songwriter James Taylor from 1972 to 1983 and has two children. Her estimated net worth is $80 million.
