Yobo Backs Iwobi to Challenge Ahmed Musa’s Super Eagles Appearance Record
Former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo believes Alex Iwobi could surpass Ahmed Musa’s appearance record for Nigeria if he stays fit and keeps playing at a high level. Musa holds the current record with 110 appearances, while Iwobi has become one of the most consistent players in the national team over the past decade. The Fulham midfielder made his Nigeria debut in 2015 after representing England at youth level. Yobo said Iwobi could reach 130 caps or more, but noted that avoiding injuries will be crucial.
