Egba Alliance Sets Five Development Demands for Ogun Governorship Aspirants
The Egba Rebirth Alliance has asked all aspirants in Ogun State’s 2027 governorship election to commit to a five-point development agenda for Egbaland. The group says voters should demand clear, measurable plans rather than rely on campaign promises. Its priorities include an Abeokuta Ring Road linking key corridors around the city, an Abeokuta Capital City Development Authority backed by law, and a tourism framework that supports heritage sites, hospitality businesses, artisans and host communities. The alliance also called for the revival of agricultural settlements in Ifo, Odeda, Obafemi and Ewekoro, alongside better rural infrastructure across Egbaland. It says candidates should explain how their plans will be funded, implemented and monitored after the election.
