Worker Injured as Five-Storey Building Partially Collapses in Abuja

A five-storey building under construction on Durban Street in Wuse II, Abuja, partially collapsed on Saturday evening. The National Emergency Management Agency said it received an alert at about 6:30 p.m. and deployed emergency responders alongside the FCT Fire Service to coordinate rescue operations. No deaths were recorded. One worker was injured and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The incident adds to concerns about building safety in Abuja following other collapses reported in the city this year.
