He was married to Diandra Luker at the time, although he said they had separated. Douglas said the relationship ended after Luker visited the set with their son and made clear that she did not consider their marriage over. Turner responded that there had been too much attention on something that happened about 40 years ago, adding that she looks forward to reading the memoir. The pair later worked together on The Jewel of the Nile and The War of the Roses.
