Live One Day at a Time
Worrying about yesterday and tomorrow can leave us overwhelmed. The Bible encourages us to focus on today, trusting God with what we cannot control. Physician Sir William Osler once described this approach as living in “day-tight compartments”. After struggling under intense pressure, he learned to concentrate on the task clearly before him instead of carrying the weight of past regrets and future fears. Matthew 6:34 reminds us not to be anxious about tomorrow. Today has enough demands of its own, and each new day is an opportunity to rejoice, do what is needed, and trust God for what comes next.
