Marriage Should Not Make Men Lose Themselves
I look at some married men and I can see how deeply they love their wives and children. They work hard, pay school fees and rent, handle family needs, and carry problems that never seem to end. But, gradually, some of them disappear inside those responsibilities. One sacrifice follows another until they become the last person on their own list. Providing for a family is important, but abandoning yourself is not the highest form of manhood. A man should keep growing in his health, mind, finances, craft and personal vision. Marriage should add responsibility, not erase the person he is still capable of becoming.
