Dalung Brands Tinubu the ‘Most Unserious’ 2027 Candidate, Claims Under 14% Support

Former Youths and Sports Minister Solomon Dalung says President Bola Tinubu is the “most unserious” contender for the 2027 presidential race. During an interview with media personality Seun Okinbaloye, he argues that Tinubu’s real support in Nigeria is below 14 percent. Dalung warns that rising insecurity, hunger and frustration are shaping the president’s political grave. He predicts a tougher defeat for Tinubu than in 2023, describing Lagos as a battleground between APC, PDP, NDC and ADC. “He doesn’t learn lessons,” Dalung says, “and he’s underestimating the backlash coming for his party.”
