Amichi Citizens Petition Soludo Over Alleged Changes to ADU Caretaker List

Amichi Citizens Petition Soludo Over Alleged Changes to ADU Caretaker List — 1 of 3
1 / 3

Concerned citizens of Amichi in Nnewi South, Anambra State, have asked Governor Chukwuma Soludo to nullify what they describe as an altered caretaker committee list for the Amichi Development Union (ADU). The petitioners say the ADU General Assembly selected an interim committee on August 21, 2026, after a court order and the expiration of the former executive’s tenure created a leadership gap. They claim the list submitted to the relevant state office on August 24 was later published with different persons named as chairman and secretary. They are seeking the reinstatement of the original nominees, an internal review of how the list was allegedly changed, and action to prevent further tension in the community. The allegations have not been independently verified.
