Adum-Oye Residents Appeal for Safe Bridge Across Ọtọ River
Residents of Adum-Oye in Oju LGA, Benue State, are appealing for urgent support to build a safe bridge across the Ọtọ River. A resident recently sustained serious injuries after falling from the makeshift crossing. The community also recalls a teacher who reportedly drowned after falling into the river, with no one nearby to rescue him. The unsafe crossing makes it difficult for children to reach school and for residents to access markets, healthcare and other essential services. The community is calling on government agencies, NGOs and public-spirited individuals to support a reliable bridge project.
