Why Do Some Women Leave a Relationship Because of Another Woman’s Disapproval?

Why do some women end a relationship with a man they like because another woman disapproves, confronts them, or gives them hostile looks? I am not referring to an ex-girlfriend or current partner. I mean a woman with no connection to the man who still acts as though she should decide who he dates. If a man walked away from a woman he liked because another man disapproved, many women would see him as weak. So why is this behaviour sometimes accepted when women do it? I would like to hear women’s perspectives on why outside pressure can have so much influence on a relationship.
