Rivers United Beat Warri Wolves 2-0 to Climb to Third in NPFL

Rivers United defeated Warri Wolves 2-0 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt to record their second Nigeria Premier Football League win of the season. Abdurrasheed Dabai opened the scoring in the 22nd minute after a well-worked team move. Chinemerem Ugwueze sealed the victory with a powerful volley 15 minutes from full time. The result moved Rivers United into third place on six points. Warri Wolves remained 19th without a point after two matches. Rivers United were coming off their CAF Champions League first-round exit to San-Pedro on the away-goals rule.
