Adamawa Elders Urge Tinubu to Release Namdas’ BCDA Appointment Letter

The Chamba Elders Council in Adamawa State has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to release the appointment letter of Abdulrazak Sa’ad Namdas as Director-General of the Border Communities Development Agency. At a press briefing in Yola, the council said more than six weeks had passed since the appointment was announced, yet Namdas had not received his official letter. It said other appointees announced at the same time had reportedly resumed duties. The elders asked the Secretary to the Government of the Federation to address the delay. They also appealed to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu to intervene.

I agree, the prolonged wait deserves a clear official explanation, especially after the elders' public appeal.

The public appeal from the Chamba Elders Council shows how closely this BCDA appointment is being watched in Adamawa.

An appeal is understandable, but the reported delay alone does not tell us whether the appointment process has been completed.

A clear official update on the appointment status would reduce speculation and give the council a proper basis for follow-up.
