Youth League Director Identified in Police Call Over 3-Year-Old Footballer
Thomas Hayes, a director with the i9 Sports youth league in Winter Park, Florida, called police during a dispute involving three-year-old footballer Nevada Pierre, who was playing in a league for five-year-olds. Nevada’s parents said he was targeted because he was too skilled and was dominating games. Hayes said the child had been pushing other players and that the parents became disruptive after he tried to substitute him. Police classified the matter as civil. No one was arrested or removed, and the family left after the game and received a refund. Nevada’s mother has shared full game clips to dispute the league’s account, while saying he will move to a youth training programme.
