23-Year-Old DELSU Microbiology Student Crowned King of Ekwuoma Kingdom
A 23-year-old Microbiology student at Delta State University, Abraka, Prince Daniel Afamefune Chukwujindu, has been installed as the 11th Ajeh of Ekwuoma Kingdom in Delta State’s Ika North East Local Government Area. He succeeds his father, King Chinedu Samuel Chukwujindu, Ezeagu-Ukpo I, who died on June 2, 2026. The installation, which followed the completion of the late monarch’s burial rites, saw him take the title Ezeagu-Ukpo II. The new monarch emerged under Ekwuoma’s traditional succession system, which recognises the first son of a reigning king as successor. He pledged to uphold the kingdom’s customs, promote peace and unity, and work with residents and government towards community development.
