Why I Cannot Celebrate Our 10th Wedding Anniversary This Year

This year marks 10 years of marriage for my wife and me, but 2026 has brought more hardship than celebration. I lost my father, returned from the burial to discover that my landlord had sold the property, and had to urgently sort out accommodation. Just as I managed that, our children’s school was also affected after the owner sold the property. I am now struggling with the cost of moving the children to a new school and paying their fees. I wish my wife understood that postponing our anniversary celebration does not mean the marriage matters less to me. It has simply been a very difficult year.
