Actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has called on prominent figures like the Ooni of Ife, Eniola Badmus, Desmond Elliott, Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham to use their influence to condemn the rising tide of insecurity in Nigeria. She spoke out after a recent terror attack in Oyo State saw six teachers and an unknown number of pupils abducted, and one teacher brutally beheaded. A graphic video of the teacher’s decapitated head circulated widely on social media. In a video message, Aiyeola warned that if such violence can happen in Oyo, it could soon threaten every community across the country.
