Six Arrested as Katsina Police Foil Pre-Sallah Attack in Musawa
The Katsina State Police Command foiled an attack planned to disrupt Eid-el-Kabir celebrations by arresting six suspects in Keku community, Musawa LGA. On Wednesday around 2pm, the Command’s Village Crime Reduction Unit responded to reports of hoodlums attacking villagers with sticks and machetes. Several residents suffered injuries before officers intervened. Police recovered machetes, sticks and motorcycles allegedly used in the assault. The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital and are responding to treatment. Commissioner of Police Ali Umar-Fage condemned the violence and urged residents to remain law-abiding, report suspicious activities and cooperate with security agencies. The suspects will be charged in court after investigations.
