APC and ex-PDP Leaders Unite at Yola South Iftar, Aim for 2027 Governorship
Critical APC stakeholders and former PDP members in Yola South Local Government met at an Iftar event to signal a strategic realignment ahead of the 2027 governorship election. At the gathering, Commissioner for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Reintegration Barr. Bello Hammandiram hailed the renewed unity as a turning point for Yola South and Adamawa Central. He also underscored Yola’s historic role in shaping national politics. Local Government Chairman Salihu Malkohi and APC Organising Secretary Mustapha Atiku Ribadu praised Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s decision to bridge long-standing divides. They described the new alliance as a “political juggernaut” poised to dominate the 2027 polls.
