Rivers State University Teaching Hospital has launched a specialised Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support training programme to improve emergency care. The first phase began on August 24, 2026, with 50 healthcare professionals. The training will help participants build the practical skills and confidence needed to respond quickly to life-threatening emergencies. RSUTH says further phases will extend the programme to more health workers, strengthening emergency preparedness and patient care across the hospital.
