Rangers Women Set to Join NWFL Premiership as Player Screenings Near
Rangers International FC has confirmed that its newly formed women’s team will compete in the upcoming Nigeria Women Football League Premiership season. The club’s CEO, Amobi Ezeaku, said open player screenings will begin soon as Rangers prepares its inaugural squad. Coach Favour Anieke will remain in charge of the team. Rangers plans to give the women’s side the same support and recognition as its men’s team. The club is considering Awka City Stadium as a home venue, while hoping to host matches alongside the men’s team after renovations at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium are completed.
