Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi says he is ready to compete for a starting place as Nigeria prepares for its 2027 AFCON qualifying matches against Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau. Ajayi said the growing number of quality players available to the national team is positive, as it gives the coaches more options when some players are unavailable. He added that healthy competition pushes every player to improve.
