Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE have arrested four suspects in separate operations in Benue State, including two people accused of supplying logistics to a suspected bandit leader. The two suspects were arrested in Abaji Community on October 28 after troops acted on intelligence. The military said they allegedly supported a bandit kingpin operating around River Yooyo in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area. In a separate operation, Volunteer Guards apprehended two suspects after an alleged robbery at Jootar Village along the Kyado–Wukari Road in Ukum LGA. Troops later took the suspects into custody and recovered a locally made pistol, seven rounds of ammunition and a pair of scissors. All four suspects are being investigated and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities, the military said.
