Ex-Partner’s Video Sparks Arrest: Lagos Man Remanded Over Alleged Beating and Broken Finger
The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency arrested a man after his ex-partner shared a video accusing him of mercilessly beating her and breaking her finger. The agency quickly contacted the survivor and ensured her complaint was formally recorded at the FESTAC Police Station’s Family Support Unit. Preliminary findings confirm the incident took place on 21 March. On 25 March, the accused was charged at Court 6, Magistrate’s Court in Ajegunle. He has been remanded at Kirikiri Maximum Security Custodial Centre. Bail was set at ₦200,000 with two sureties, and the next hearing is scheduled for 29 April.
