Former Cornell Student Reportedly Leaves Wells Fargo as Assault Case Is Reopened

Diego Sarabia, one of seven former Cornell University students named in a civil lawsuit over an alleged 2024 sexual assault, is reportedly no longer employed by Wells Fargo. The development follows a decision by the Tompkins County District Attorney’s Office to reopen its investigation and consider presenting the matter to a grand jury. Prosecutors said they will assess whether new evidence changes their earlier decision not to file charges. The lawsuit alleges that a woman was drugged and assaulted at a fraternity house. Sarabia and the other defendants have not been criminally charged, and the allegations have not been proven in court. Wells Fargo and Sarabia had not commented at the time of the report.
