Akwa United Sign 10 Players for 2026/27 NNL Promotion Push

Akwa United have signed 10 players ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria National League season as they target a return to the Nigeria Premier Football League. The new recruits include goalkeeper Robert Cole, three defenders, four midfielders and two forwards. The additions include players arriving from clubs such as Godswill Akpabio United, Abia Comets, Ikorodu City, Nasarawa United, Doma United and Enugu Rangers. Coach Paul Offor says he is pleased with the quality of the signings. The players have joined the retained squad in training as the Uyo-based side prepares for Conference B, which begins on October 31, 2026.
