Nonye Soludo Wins BudgIT 2026 Health Activism Award
Anambra First Lady Nonye Soludo has won the Health Activism category at the 2026 BudgIT Active Citizens Awards in Lagos. The award recognises her work promoting preventive healthcare, community wellness and public-health advocacy through the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative. She was selected ahead of Ramatu Ada Ochekliye and public-health professional Sidney Sampson. Her initiatives include fitness campaigns, maternal and child health advocacy, nutrition education, environmental sanitation, sanitary-pad support for schoolgirls, seed-pack distribution and programmes addressing childhood malnutrition. BudgIT said nominees were assessed on innovation, impact, sustainability, inclusion, leadership and measurable community outcomes.
