Abuja Welder Arraigned Over Alleged Shop Break-In and Theft of Clothes
A 34-year-old welder, Austine Odey, has been arraigned before a Life Camp Magistrates’ Court in Abuja over allegations of burglary and theft. The prosecution alleged that Odey broke into a shop in Karimo and stole five pairs of trousers, three shirts and a men’s brief valued at ₦190,000. Police said the brief was recovered from him during their investigation. Odey pleaded not guilty. The court granted him ₦100,000 bail with one surety and adjourned the case until October 8 for further hearing.
