Frank Edoho Explains Why Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Left Nigerian TV

Frank Edoho has explained that Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? left Nigerian television after its longtime sponsor withdrew support following a major Federal Government fine over an undisclosed corporate matter. Speaking on a talk show, Edoho denied reports that he was removed as host. He said the sponsor had supported the quiz programme for about 10 years but could no longer fund it after paying the penalty. The show later returned with a new sponsor without Edoho, prompting speculation that he had been sacked. He said he felt sidelined after his years on the programme. Edoho hosted the show from 2004 until 2017 and returned when it was revived in 2022.
