Shelley Fabares: Life, Career, Marriage to Mike Farrell and Reported Death
Shelley Fabares was an American actress and singer best known for playing Mary Stone in The Donna Reed Show and Christine Armstrong Fox in Coach. She also starred alongside Elvis Presley in films including Girl Happy, Spinout and Clambake. Her 1962 single, “Johnny Angel,” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Her television work later earned her Primetime Emmy nominations for Coach. Fabares married producer Lou Adler in 1964 and divorced him in 1980. She married actor Mike Farrell in 1984 and became stepmother to his two children. After being diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis, she received a liver transplant in 2000.
