How Do I Survive Supporting Man United, the Super Eagles and Enyimba?

As a die-hard football fan, supporting Manchester United, the Super Eagles and Enyimba feels like a weekly test of endurance right now. The three teams that once gave me plenty to brag about are all struggling, and every matchday now comes with anxiety. Manchester United have only five points from five matches. Enyimba have four points from six games. The Super Eagles have missed two consecutive World Cups and still struggle against teams Nigerians expect them to beat. Fans of Barcelona, Spain, Arsenal and Manchester City look forward to the weekend. For me, it can feel like another round of football heartbreak. At this point, I am surviving on memories of our former glory. Still, I enjoyed the good years, so I have to endure the difficult ones too. Let the league resume; I will be there again next weekend.
