Delta Police Say Suspect in Alleged Defilement of 15-Year-Old Is Not an Officer

Delta State Commissioner of Police Samuel Erale says Ezekiel Pius, arrested over the alleged defilement of a 15-year-old girl, is not a police officer. He said the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation. Police reportedly arrested Pius near a private school in Effurun, where he was allegedly working as a security guard while impersonating a mobile police officer. The girl was allegedly assaulted several times and threatened to keep quiet. The allegations have not been established in court.
