Family Raises Alarm Over NYSC Member Reportedly Kidnapped on Imo-Abia Road
A family has appealed for the rescue of Kehinde, a prospective NYSC member reportedly abducted while travelling to Abia State for the service programme. The family said Kehinde was travelling in a convoy of buses along the Imo-Abia axis early Thursday when the incident allegedly occurred. They said Kehinde sent a brief message saying “Kidnappers” after 6:00 a.m. before the phone went offline. Relatives claimed that three buses were travelling together and that one escaped, while passengers in two others were taken into the bush. About 19 people were believed to be in Kehinde’s bus, but authorities have not publicly confirmed the incident or the number of people affected. The family has urged the police and other security agencies to locate and rescue Kehinde and the other alleged victims.
