Analysis Flags 24 Imo Result Sheets Photographed Before Voting Began in 2023

An analysis of INEC’s IReV uploads alleges that 24 polling-unit result sheets in the Ikeduru/Mbaitoli Federal Constituency were photographed between 5:04 a.m. and 5:34 a.m. on election day. Voting was scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. The sheets were reportedly already filled and photographed before polls opened. The analysis says the uploaded forms lacked presiding officers’ names, signatures, stamps and party-agent details. It also notes that the 24 sheets contained 8,081 valid votes, compared with a final winning margin of 3,076 votes.
