At the BET Awards over the weekend, Grammy-winning singer Temilade Openiyi, known as Tems, addressed speculation about her dating Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye. Tems explained that she does not pursue romantic relationships with fellow Nigerian celebrities. She said she views her male colleagues as brothers and family, so “shooting shots” is not something she does in the industry. “I know who Maduka Okoye is but I don’t know him personally,” she added. “We friend each other and we are family,” making clear there’s no romance involved.
