New Details in Tragic Case: Mother Accused of Killing and Partially Eating Four-Year-Old
A four-year-old boy was allegedly killed and partly eaten by his mother in Wyong on Australia’s Central Coast. The 32-year-old woman contacted police on July 4, claiming she had consumed parts of her son. Officers discovered the child’s body in their community housing unit, where he had been unattended for days. Court documents reveal the mother had a history of suspected drug-induced psychosis and was referred to authorities three times over the past year. In January, child protection workers assessed her for neglect concerns but found insufficient evidence to remove the boy from her care. About 40 locals held a vigil at a nearby pool, leaving soft toys and balloons in memory of the shy, energetic child. Neighbours who knew the family struggled to reconcile his happy nature with the shocking allegations. The mother was charged with murder and had bail refused. She remains in custody and is due back in Wyong Local Court on September 1.
