Former Golden Eaglets Captain Samson Tijani Joins Podbrezová on Loan
Former Golden Eaglets captain Samson Tijani has joined Slovakian side FK Železiarne Podbrezová on loan from Czech club Dukla Prague for the 2026/27 season. The agreement includes an option for Podbrezová to sign the 23-year-old Nigerian midfielder permanently on a two-year contract. The club’s general manager described Tijani as a creative and dynamic player expected to add quality to their midfield. Tijani joined Dukla Prague in June 2025 after leaving Red Bull Salzburg and made 26 Czech top-flight appearances. He previously captained Nigeria at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup and has earned three senior caps for the Super Eagles.
