FCCPC Orders Food Producers to Improve Fortification of Vegetable Oil and Salt

A survey by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) and the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition found that 12 per cent of sampled vegetable oil and 2 per cent of sampled salt were inadequately fortified. The survey tested 200 samples collected from markets and homes in northern and southern Nigeria: 100 each of oil and salt.
