PDP State Chairmen Allege Attacks on Members and Supporters in Ebonyi

The PDP Forum of State Chairmen has alleged escalating attacks, abductions, unlawful detention and property destruction targeting party leaders, candidates, executives and supporters in Ebonyi State. At a press conference in Abakaliki, the forum said the incidents and alleged restrictions on PDP activities have raised concerns about safety, freedom of association and political participation ahead of the 2027 general elections. The group cited reported attacks in Ezza South, Onicha and Abakaliki between August and September 2026. It called on Governor Francis Nwifuru, security agencies, President Bola Tinubu and other relevant authorities to investigate the allegations and protect citizens’ rights.
