Traumatised Widow Speaks Out Weeks After Oriire School Abduction
A widow whose child was among the 46 pupils and teachers abducted in Esiele and Yawota communities of Oriire LGA has appealed for urgent help. She described hiding in her kitchen as gunmen stormed the town and rounded up her daughter alongside other pupils. Since her husband’s death, she has relied on petty trading to support her family. While she appreciates security efforts so far, she urged the government to intensify rescue operations and bring all abducted children and teachers back safely.
