Former Barcelona and Spain Star Pedro Retires From Professional Football at 39
Former Barcelona, Chelsea, Roma and Lazio winger Pedro Rodríguez has announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 39. In a farewell video, Pedro thanked his teammates, coaches, clubs, fans, family and friends. He said the relationships he built during his career meant more to him than the trophies. Pedro won five La Liga titles, three Copa del Rey trophies and three UEFA Champions League titles with Barcelona. He also helped Spain win the 2010 FIFA World Cup and was part of the squad that won Euro 2012. The winger made 321 appearances and scored 99 goals for Barcelona, where he won 20 trophies.
