Two Security Guards Arrested for Machete Killing of Traveler in Ibafo, Ogun
Detectives from the Ibafo Divisional Headquarters in Ogun State have arrested security guards Isikilu Dauda and Rasaki Abbas over the alleged murder of a traveler known only as Promise. A tip-off enabled officers to find the victim in critical condition on April 10. The traveler told rescuers he was macheted by the guards after arriving late the previous night and later died on arrival at the hospital. Preliminary investigations uncovered a blood trail linking one suspect to the scene, leading to both arrests. The body has been taken to Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu for autopsy. The case is now before the State Criminal Investigation Department in Abeokuta for further investigation and prosecution. The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, condemned the killing and assured that all perpetrators will be brought to justice under the command’s zero-tolerance policy on violence.
