Nigerian-Eligible Barcelona Wonderkid Destiny Kosiso Scores 145 Goals in 52 Games
Destiny Kosiso Ejiofor is attracting attention at Barcelona’s La Masia academy after an exceptional scoring record in youth football. Born in Spain to Nigerian parents, the 12-year-old is eligible to represent Nigeria or Spain internationally. Spanish reports say Kosiso scored 145 goals in 52 seven-a-side matches across two seasons for Barcelona’s academy teams. He also reportedly scored about 100 goals in 27 games during one Under-10 campaign. He has continued his form in 11-a-side football, finishing as top scorer at the 2026 LaLiga FC Futures U12 Club World Cup with seven goals. He recently scored a hat-trick against Villarreal as Barcelona advanced in the tournament. Kosiso, whose father Ejike Paschal is a former Nigerian footballer, has also signed a Nike sponsorship deal. It remains early in his development, but his performances will likely keep the question of a future Nigeria call-up alive.
