Adeleke Meets Tinubu After Osun Governorship Victory, Presents Certificate of Return
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke met President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday, days after his re-election victory. Adeleke was accompanied by National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu for the closed-door meeting. It was his first meeting with the President since the 15 August Osun governorship election. INEC issued Adeleke his certificate of return on 19 August. He won on the Accord Party platform with 511,067 votes, ahead of APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes. The governor also said he plans to establish a ₦500 million endowment fund for victims of election violence.
