How to Register Trading Names Under Your CAC-Registered Company

I recently registered a Limited Liability Company through the CAC online portal without a lawyer and received my certificate within days. I’d like to operate different businesses under my company, for example “Naijaworld Foods,” “Naijaworld Farms,” and “Naijaworld Cleaning Services,” without forming separate companies. Do I need to register each of these as individual Business Names with the CAC, or can they simply operate as trading names under Naijaworld Limited? If separate registration is required, what steps must I follow? Can it all be done directly through the CAC portal? I’d appreciate any advice or experiences you can share. Thank you!

Does anyone know if CAC limits the number of trading names you can register under one company?

Are you asking if CAC sets a strict cap on total trading names or just limits per application?

I'm not convinced grouping unrelated businesses under one company always simplifies operations; it risks diluting each brand's identity.

Reserve each trading name separately on the CAC portal and maintain organized records of all your filings and certificates.
